My story at LEONI LCS
My name is Marika. I joined LEONI LCS in 2018 after coming back from abroad. I graduated at secondary school “TIS” in the field of electrical engineering. At LEONI LCS, I started as a shift quality operator, where I gained valuable experience and good colleagues. Gradually, I moved to my current position as a Quality Test Field Specialist. In addition to my work, I have also been appointed to the Works council and Health&Safety employee representative.
This is my job
I work as a Quality Test Field Specialist for high-frequency measurements and my main task is to inspect and measure cables to meet the required parameters and quality. My day starts with a arrival of work before 6:00 a.m., where I prepare my morning coffee and then go to the production for the products intended for testing where I prepare the required length and afterwards prepare for the measurement itself. Then I attend a morning meeting with production, where current tasks are discussed, any problems that need to be solved. After the meeting, I will calibrate the measuring device so that the results are accurate and reliable. Part of the morning activities is also checking e-mails and internal tasks, where I check the priorities of the day, block zones or any requests that need to be handled as a priority. Regularly at 11:00 a.m., my colleagues from the department and I go to lunch, where we relax, talk and often laugh while eating. After lunch, I continue to measure and evaluate the results. I am responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the measured values and in the event of a non-conformity, I proceed according to internal regulations. At work, I pay attention to compliance with quality standards, safety rules and cleanliness of the workplace. This work requires precision and a responsible approach, as the quality of the measurements taken has a direct impact on the quality of the final product.
What I like about my job is the measurement itself and working with measuring devices, because every day is interesting.
My Highlights
I consider one of my greatest successes the trust I have gained from my colleagues, also to be a part of Employee Representatives and HSE committee where all important topics related to employees are decided.
My motivation is feeling that my job is well done and that others can rely on me because I am a part of team. At work, I try to maintain a responsible approach, find small goals and move forward.
My view of LEONI LCS as an employer
I´ve chosen LEONI LCS as an employer mainly because of its stability, work background and the opportunity to be part of an international company with emphasis on quality.
What I personally appreciate the most about the company is a good team, the opportunity to work with various measuring devices&programs and SAP.
